Jalynn Marie Garey, 1995-2018

Jalynn Marie Garey, 23 of Zanesville, died, Friday, December 14, 2018. She was born Sunday, June 18, 1995, in Zanesville, the daughter of Molly (Garey) Brandfass and the late Chad Garey.

She was a graduate of West Muskingum High School and Mid-East Career and Technology Center and attended Zane State College.

Jalynn was outgoing and loved being with her friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her boyfriend: Marcus Goins, and her pet companion: Bella. She also enjoyed shopping and watching TV with her sister, especially Law & Order SVU.

Jalynn is survived by her mother: Molly Brandfass; her maternal grandmother: Beckie Foster of Zanesville; paternal grandparents: Harold & Betty Garey of Frazeysburg; her paternal great grandmother: Jeannie King; one sister: Jacqueline Massey of Zanesville; three nieces: Jade, Delilah, and Mariah Boyer; one step-brother: Andrew Garey and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to her father: Chad Garey, Jalynn was preceded in death by her step-father: Moby Brandfass; her maternal grandfather: Mike Foster and her maternal great grandfather: Merle King.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 21, 2018, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Judson officiating. Burial will follow in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
