Geneva DeMent

Geneva DeMent, 92 of Zanesville died at 11:07 AM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Genesis Healthcare.

She was born September 14, 1926 in Barnesville the  daughter of Howard Travis and  Edna Higginbotham Watkins.

Geneva was a homemaker and also had done work as a teachers’ aide at Hopewell Elementary School and she retired from F.W. Woolworth Co. She was a member of the Brownsville U.M. Church.

Geneva is survived by her daughters; Cheryl (Richard) Poland and Nadean Baumgardt; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Geneva was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, Eurshel S. DeMent and a step-brother, Dean R. Watkins.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with funeral service held at 1:00 PM on  Friday, January 4, 2019 with Jeffrey Iden officiating. Burial  will conclude at a later date at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Brownsville, Ohio.
