ODOT Ready for Winter Blast

The Ohio Department of Transportation is preparing for accumulating snow and ice expected to begin overnight and continue through Wednesday morning.

They said in a press release that plows will be out in force all night, but drivers should plan extra time for their commutes.

ODOT said the biggest challenge to this latest round of weather will be the timing of the storm and rate of precipitation. They said the more vehicles on the road the tougher it will be to clear snow since plows get caught in the same slow-moving traffic as other drivers.

More than 100 ODOT crews will be working on interstates, state and US routes in Central Ohio so be alert and don’t crowd the plow.
