Man Indicted in Woodlawn Copper Theft

A man accused of multiple break-ins within the city of Zanesville is indicted by a grand jury.

Detective Sgt. Ric Roush of the Zanesville Police Department said that 22-year-old Michael Finley of East Fultonhan was indicted on two second degree felony counts of burglary, one count each of vandalism, possession of criminal tools and theft from an elderly victim, all fifth degree felonies.

Sgt. Roush said his charges stem from a break-in that took place on October 29th in the 300 block of Woodlawn Avenue, when police said Finley was attempting to cut copper pipes from the home.

He was also charged in connection to a burglary that took place in May of 2009 in the 11-hundred block of Ohio Street.
