Business Incubator Project Phase Two
With phase one of the Business Incubator project almost finished, plans for phase two are underway.
The goal of turning the former Maysville Junior High School into a Business Incubator is one step closer to being finished. Muskingum County Commissioner Brian Hill says phase one, which focused on a new roof, should be done within the next month.
"Phase two is the renovation of the old Maysville Junior High School that the county has owned for some time. This project will take care of winter replacement and heating and air conditioning to help meet an energy grant that we obtained by the county this past year," said Hill.
Hill says he hopes the Incubator will create more jobs for the community by promoting small businesses.
"They are entrepreneurs that are trying to get started and the Incubator provides services to them and helps get them on their feet, get them started, then they can graduate on and become good employers here in the county," said Hill.
Hill says their goal is to have the whole project, which includes phase one, two, and three, all finished by the end of April.
