Attorney To Announce Candidacy For Newark City Council President

A Newark Attorney will announce his candidacy for Newark City Council President Monday.

Democratic Candidate Jason Kee is a sole practictioner with a law firm in downtown Newark. Kee graduated from Kent State University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and graduated from the University of Akron in 2007 with a Juris Doctorate. Kee has been a member of the Ohio Bar since 2007.

He is currently a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Licking County Bar Association, the Licking County Chamber of Commerce and the Newark Kiwanis Club.

Kee plans to use his leadership and mediation experience to be a fair and impartial leader for the Newark City Council.
