The father daughter dance at a wedding is one of the oldest traditions – tonight Melissa Marie’s School of Dance gave dad’s a chance to practice at their first daddie’s and daughters dance.

Over 50 couples gathered to eat spaghetti, have some cake and dance the night away.

"I hope that they feel that they can just celebrate their relationship with their daughter" Melissa Berga – Owner of Melissa Marie’s.

Valentine decorations added a sweet touch to the gym – not to mention the young ladies in their fancy dresses and they seemed to enjoy twirling in them.

"I know I did a daddy daughter when I was younger and it is stuck in my memory. It is a wonderful memory of me and my father" said Berga.

The school definitely plans on having the event again next year so more fathers can make memories with their daughters
