Spectacular, Spectacular

Zanesville High School held their Devilette Spectacular drill team competition Sunday.

The event raises thousands of dollars for the Devillettes props and uniforms. 7 teams came to show off their moves. There was solo, ensemble and team dancing. Types of dancing included hip hop, jazz, prop, pom and show. The performers described the day as pure excitement.

"Just the cheer and the enthusiasm and the sportsmanship. It is just a great place to be," said coach Nicole Fletcher.

4 judges watched and decided who deserved to win. Competing is something the girls look forward to and always welcome feedback to help make them better dancers.

"They get to see all their hard work payoff and perform amongst other teams and see how they stack up that way," said Director Wayne Carpenter.

This marks the 38th year of the event
