Backwords
Theatre goers spent their Sunday watching a local production in Zanesville.
The third performance of "Backwords" was held at the Zanesville Community Theatre. It was written and directed by David Schubach. He said the two-hour play is full of comedy and drama and was inspired by the way his mother told stories of her past.
"It turned out I loved the way old folks tell stories and they get more vivid as they tell of older events, I mean they can remember things from years and years ago with great clarity," said Schubach.
The story takes place when the two characters are very old and they begin reminiscing about their relationship over the years, going back to when they first met.
"Just the bond that you make with the person you choose to spend your life with, they joke that they are held together by cosmic glue, and if there’s any secret meaning of life, that’s what I put in," said the Director.
Three more showings will be held on April 15,16, and 17. Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.
Zanesville Community Theatre is located at 940 Findley Avenue.
