Community Fun Day

Some area high school students were showing children that volunteering can be fun.

The Community Youth Foundation hosted a community fun day at the North Terrace Church of Christ in Zanesville on Saturday. President Fletcher Young said they thought of the event back in November.

"Our main goal is to inspire younger kids to see that high school kids are really getting involved in the community," said Fletcher.

The free family event offered a variety of games and activities for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.

"A lot of them are based on the NBC show ‘Minuted to Win It’ so real simple games, games that you can play at home, games that don’t take a lot of supplies, games that are also essentially simple for kids."
