Tax Return Deadline Today

The deadline for filing your income tax return is midnight tonight. The good news is everyone got an extra three days this year because of the national holiday “Emancipation Day". The bad news is here in Zanesville you must have your income tax return in the mail boxes in front of the Mcintire Avenue Post Office by 6:00 pm. Zanesville Postal Officials says that is the last time the mail is picked up before it’s transferred to the Columbus processing center. Zanesville’s mail processing center was consolidated into the Columbus operation. If you are unable to file your taxes by the deadline, you can file an extension by the deadline but must still pay your estimated taxes due.
