Zanesville Man Involved In School Bus Accident

The Highway Patrol says a school bus crash in Licking County left one person hurt. A dispatcher says the crashed happened just before 7:00 Monday morning along U.S. 40 in Pataskala. Troopers say a pick-up truck driven by 33-year-old Paul Newell of Zanesville slid into the bus as it was pulling out of a private driveway. The dispatcher says a trooper reported a least two students and two staff members were on the Southwest Licking School District bus at the time. A teacher’s aide was taken to a hospital with an injury that was not life-threatening. No students were hurt. Troopers cited the school bus driver, 64-year-old Leonard Wogan of Hebron for failure to yield the right-of-way. Newell was cited for no seatbelt.
