Food Stamp Fraud Alleged At Food Center

A neighborhood grocery store in Zanesville was raided by authorities Tuesday. The Investigative Unit of the Ohio Department of Public Safety and officials from the United State Department of Agriculture were at the Food Center at 1427 Ridge Avenue executing a search warrant alleging food stamp fraud. Agent Suann Cook also says the owner of the store is also facing a violation notice for their liquor permit. No arrests have been made, but charges are pending.
