Multistate Yard Sale Underway

If you’re thinking of taking the car cruising this weekend you’ll want to take a ride on the National Road.

From St. Louis, Missouri to Baltimore, Maryland vendors are set up taking part in the gigantic yard sale. Locally, twelve businesses along the road are taking part along with residents living along the historic route. An owner of Ohio Pottery said everyone should come out and check what the area has to offer.

"It has kinds of sights and historic activities along the way," said Ohio Pottery Owner Mary Ellen Weingartner. "The S bridge is a great place to stop and have a picnic so that’s always a fun thing to do."

At Ohio Pottery they’ll be discounting prices.

"We have lots of sale items. I have vendors for pottery setting up in the brick building next door. We also have great glass bargains, beer mugs and ice tea glasses and Ohio Stoneware pieces that have huge sale prices."

You can even learn more about the National Road. With a donation books are available that give you and idea of what all there is to see and do. You can also pick up a pack of National Road playing cards to keep yourself occupied while traveling the road.
