Commissioners Hold Investment Committee Meeting

An investment committee meeting with the Muskingum County Commissioners was held Thursday afternoon.

County Commissioner Jim Porter says overall, investments are not doing very well and may have to be adjusted.
 

"For the interest rates out there right now, we’re getting the best we can get," said Porter.

Porter says, however, things could be much worse and County Treasurer Phil Murphy is looking into what can be done to help get the most return.

"Phil’s also looking at other investment companies right now and maybe offering a little better deal, so we’re going that route too," said Porter.

The Commissioners will hold another investment committee meeting in mid July
