Lock 10 Set to Reopen

A lock that runs through downtown Zanesville is ready to reopen.

Muskingum River Parkway Lock Number 10 will open Friday and will resume normal operating hours. The lock had been closed to so that the City of Zanesville could complete all the work needed to repair the failed storm drain that runs under the canal.

Public Service Director Mike Sims had estimated the project to cost between $150-$250,000.

All other locks with the exception of the lock at Ellis Dam are now open and operational.
