A-E-P Signs Deal With Noble Co. Solar Field

American Electric Power has signed an agreement to buy power from the new Turning Point solar field being constructed in Noble County. The 49.9 megawatt solar field – which was first going to be built in Muskingum County – would be the largest of its kind in Ohio. Construction is expected to begin next year and be completed at the end of 2015. It’s expected to create several hundred permanent jobs and several hundred temporary construction jobs totaling around 600. A-E-P of Columbus is expected to invest 20 million dollars in the project. The project known as Turning Point Solar is a venture between Agile Energy Incorporated of San Francisco and New Harvest Ventures of Gahanna.
