No Charges Yet In Cocaine Baby Case

Zanesville Police Chief Eric Lambes says his detectives are still investigating the case of the two year old Zanesville child ingesting cocaine. You may remember when we first told you about the incident last week. Thursday evening Police were called to a home in the 800 block of Race Street because of an unresponsive child. Police says the two year old child somehow consumed cocaine and remains in Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. Upon further investigation police say they found items that could be connected to drug abuse. Tuesday Chief Lambes told Whiz News that no charges have been filed in the case yet and it remains under investigation by Detective Teresa Tysinger. Two siblings from the home have been taken into protective custody by Muskingum County Children’s Services.
