Local 9-11 Hero

The heroes of 9-11 will never forget the tragic events of that September day and for one local hero the day still rings strong.

Operation Sergeant for the 447 Military Police Company Troy Gray has been serving his country for more than 20 years. On the day of the 9-11 Terrorist attacks Gray had just gotten off working third shift when he received a phone call saying a plane had hit one of the World Trade Towers. Gray turned on the T-V to see the second tower struck.

"That’s when I knew this wasn’t a tragic accident it was a terrorist attack," said Gray.

Today Gray spends the anniversary of that tragic day with close friends and family. He said he will re-watch the video from those attacks and remember how he felt that day.

"It just makes you mad<‘ said Gray. "It surprised me at first that something that elaborate could be pulled off, but afterwards just infuriated me and I just wanted to get the job done."
