Drug Suspect Pleads Not Guilty In Drug Case

A Zanesville man appears in court on drug charges and pleads not guilty. 27-year-old Elgin Mitchell went before Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill on trafficking in drugs and trafficking in counterfeit controlled substances charges. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says last month Mitchell and a co-defendant in the case, 27-year-old Corey Wood fled from deputies in the Putnam area during a drug investigation. Wood has already been charged in the case. Judge Cottrill set Mitchell’s bond at 10,000 dollars.
