1 Hospitalized in Cemetery Four-Wheeler Crash

A four-wheeler crash at Greenwood Cemetery late Wednesday afternoon sends a small child to the hospital.

Zanesville Police say officers were were chasing a four wheeler with an adult male and an 8-year-old on-board. It was heading south on Hamline Avenue around 4:15. The rider then turned east onto Eastman Street towards the cemetery.

"He was running 30 to 35 mph, turned the corner, lost control of it, rolled it over in the ditch and hit a couple tombstones and the four-wheeler ended on top of both passengers," said Coury.

The child was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police say multiple charges are expected to be filed against the driver, who’s name was not yet released.
