Mildred Rose Ellen Mercer (November 17, 1922 – January 13, 2012)

Zanesville-
Mildred Rose Ellen Mercer, 89, of Zanesville passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at her home. Mildred was born Nov. 17, 1922 to the late Arthur F. and Stella Burd Shultz Thornton. She worked in the office of Putnam Transfer, enjoyed bowling and watching Nascar races on TV.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Janice (Ronald) Barnhouse of Zanesville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Arnold F. Mercer and two sisters: Norma D. Butcher and Sibyl C. Cramer.
Calling hours will be 6-8 P.M., Monday, Jan. 16, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY RD., ZANESVILLE, OH. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 11 A.M. in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev Chuck Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
