Robert “Bob” Evans Raymond (May 16, 1927 – February 11, 2012)
Robert Evans Raymond, 84 of Zanesville died 4:20 PM Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Clay House in Zanesville.
He was born May 16, 1927 in Zanesville the son of Thomas E. and Marguerite (Evans) Raymond.
He graduated from Lash High School in 1945. He attended officers training in the Navy & graduated with a BS Degree in Physics from Miami University where he also played football. He was an engineer and entrepreneur specializing in hydraulics. He held over 100 patents and founded several companies. His passion as a young man was Indian dancing, and he excelled in sports. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bettie (Watson) Raymond, his children Kim (John) Markell of Pickerington, Chad (Marcy) Raymond of Pickerington, Ann Raymond of Clintonville and Steve (Mary) Raymond of Richmond, VA. and his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Bob was preceded in death in addition to his parents by two brothers Bill & Thomas.
Visitation will be held Wednesday February 15th from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave.
where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 16, 2012. Burial with Military Honors will conclude in the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery Zanesville, OH.
