Ruth Evelyn Pope (May 9, 1918 – March 26, 2012)

ZANESVILLE
Ruth Evelyn Pope, 93 of Dublin formerly of Zanesville passed away March 26, 2012 at the Sanctuary in Dublin, OH. She was born May 9, 1918 in Zanesville a daughter of the late Andrew and Ina Eppley Schaumleffel. She was a graduate of Merideth Business College and worked as the secretary to the Director at Ohio University Zanesville. She was a loving mother and grandmother, loved flowers, playing bridge, spending time with family and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Ruth is survived by one son Ronald Pope of Grove City, OH; one daughter Lynne (George) Smith of Dublin, OH; two nephews Robert and Gary Schaumleffel; two nieces Kathy Firman and Peggy Murphy; two grandsons Jason (Susan) Smith of Cincinnati, OH and Christopher (Megan) Smith of New Albany, OH; three great grandchildren Lauren, Alexa and Elise Smith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Clarence Pope and her brother Robert Schaumleffel.
Calling hours will be 11am to 1pm on Thursday March 29, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W. MILITARY RD. ZANESVILLE. Graveside services will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Steve McGuire officiating.
