Helen L. Boetcher, 90, of Dayton, formerly of Zanesville, passed away at 8:16am Monday, April 16, 2012 at Liberty Retirement Care Center in Dayton.

Helen was born September 27, 1921 in Rosewell, New Mexico, the daughter of the late Sherman and Stella Collins. She was a home maker and her greatest joy were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren she was so very proud of all of them.

Helen is survived by her son James F and Frances Boetcher of Zanesville, Norris and Martha of Hazlehurst, MS, a daughter Nancy and Ron Henley of Dayton; six grandchildren Beverly Huston, Brenda (Marty) Miller, Scott (Brenda) Boetcher, Douglas (Angie) Boetcher, Wayne (Jackie) Boetcher all of the Zanesville area and Michelle Henley-Matthews of Milwaukie, OR; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband Harold A. who passed away in 1996, her son Lance Corp Harold E. who was killed in Veitnam in 1966, her grandson David and three sisters Nancy Strickler, Eva McFarenn and Mildred Spears; one brother Daniel Collins and a special brother-in-law Emory Strickler.

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday April 18th 2012 at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday with Rev. Don Adams officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the St. Paul Cemetery.
