Dorothy M. Gildow (April 22, 1925 – June 2, 2012)

Dorothy M. Gildow, 87 of Zanesville died 9:22 PM Saturday, June 02, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan ER.

She was born Wednesday, April 22, 1925 in Peabody, MA the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Marcinek) Bozek.

She was a devout catholic who prayed the rosary daily and member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother who enjoyed sewing, baking and gardening.

Dorothy is survived by 3 Sons, Ronald “Ron” (Mary Beth) Gildow of North Myrtle Beach, John Gildow, Mark Gildow; a daughter Marcia A. “Flo” Owen all of Zanesville. 9 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death in addition to her parents, was her husband Thomas F. Gildow who died Jan. 9, 1991, a son Thomas J. Gildow, three brothers Edward, Matthew and Francis Bozek, two sisters Helen Schultz and Betty Girard.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 5th from 2-4 & 6-8pm with Chritian Vigil at 7:45pm at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home 935 Forest Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am on Wednesday, June 06, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 144 North Fifth Street Zanesville OH with Dominican Fathers as celebrant. Burial will conclude in the Mt. Olive Cemetery Zanesville OH.
