OVI Checkpoint Friday

The State Highway Patrol has released the location of a sobriety checkpoint taking place in Coshocton County.

Officials said the checkpoint will be held from 10pm Friday until 2am Saturday on US 36 near milepost 20 which is between State Route 83 and the Wal-mart.

The OVI checkpoint is funded by federal grants and is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

Along with the checkpoint the patrol will also have nearby saturation patrols to combat alcohol related injury and fatal crashes.
