David Botkin (February 13, 1962 – July 3, 2012)

David Vance Botkin, 50, of Zanesville, passed away at 7:36 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital from heart failure. David was born February 13, 1962, in Miami, Florida, a son of Nancy Long Botkin and the late Orien Botkin, who passed away in 1998. David lived in Zanesville since 1971. He had worked for The City of Zanesville at the water department and sanitation department for 10 years and had various jobs before that.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Linda; four children, Nicholas, Jonathan, Katie and Austin; a sister, Remyblu (David) Parsons; an aunt, Jayne of Sanford, FL; his mother-in-law, Bertha Russell; two sisters-in-law, Dorie and Bill and Joann Seevers; a brother-in-law, Danny and Roxanne; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats, Boots and Cookie.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael, who passed away in 2010.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W MILITARY RD., ZANESVILLE with Alan Ranck officiating.
