Harris’ Pleas

A man charged in connection with a fatal accident in Muskingum County pleads guilty to a prosecutor’s bill of information.

In Muskingum County Common Pleas Court, Darnell Harris, entered the plea and pre-sentence investigation was ordered. Bond was continued from a previous case at $100,000.

He had been charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and involuntary manslaughter.

The State Highway Patrol reports that in April, Harris was driving on US 40 in Falls Township when he attempted to turn onto Interstate 70 and pulled into the path of another vehicle.

Harris’ passenger 22-year-old Koeta Pettiford of Zanesville died as a result of her injuries.
