Forest of Fright Seeks Thrills

When night falls, the terror begins at Forest of Fright in Philo.

The seasonal attraction is scheduled to open on Friday night, weather-permitting.  Owner Robert Bader said the idea stemmed from a conversation he and his wife had six years ago.

"Actually, it was started right over the kitchen table," said Bader.  My wife and I were having a discussion on what to do with the farm, and this is what we came up with."

The show changes every year, so even frequent guests won’t know what to expect.  Bader said Forest of Fright is not for the faint of heart.

"We’ve had people who can’t get through the first scene," said Bader.  "It depends on how brave you are."

The attraction at 7295 Duncan Run Road is open every Friday and Saturday in October from 7:30 to 11 PM.  For directions and admission pricing, you can visit: www.forestoffright.org.
