Zanesville Man Pleads Guilty to Assaulting Teacher

A Zanesville man pleads guilty in court Monday to assaulting a teacher.

18-year-old Timothy Rushing appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court where he entered the plea to one count of assault. 

Judge Mark Fleegle ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
 

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Rushing assaulted Foxfire teacher Patrick Murphy on May 18th of this year.
 

Rushing also plead guilty to robbery and vandalism charges stemming from a separate incident between March and June .
 

A pre-sentence investigation was ordered in the case.
