Raymond H. Scott (June 24, 1935 – January 27, 2015)

Raymond H. (Scotty) Scott, 79, of Zanesville, died at 1:31 A.M. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at the Genesis Good Samaritan C.C.U. He was born June 24, 1935, in Newark to the late Harold and Myrtle Montgomery Scott. Raymond retired after 35 years of service as maintenance from Lear Corporation. He is a life member of the Zanesville Eagles #302.

Surviving are a son, Fred (Yvonne) Pierce of Crooksville; four daughters, Ruth (Bob) Donaldson, Donna (Tim) Dobbins, Brenda (Clarence Hooper) Scott and Cheryl (Bernard) Benjamin all of Zanesville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister Velva Collins of Zanesville; and a brother, Leo Scott of Zanesville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Pierce Scott; a daughter, Betty Scott; two grandchildren; three brothers, Harold, Abraham and Leonard Scott; and a sister, Agnes Willey.

Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 30, 2015 with Rev. Arthur Potts officiating.
