Virgil L. Dennis (September 16, 1955 – April 5, 2015)

Virgil L. Dennis, 59, of Zanesville, died at 5:20 A.M. on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the Select Specialty Hospital, Zanesville. He was born September 16, 1955, in Zanesville, a son of Margaret Scott Dennis of Zanesville and the late Cecil Dennis. He had worked for ten years at Royal Cleaners, and he also mowed grass and raised horses. He was an avid football and basketball fan and he especially loved Ohio State.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a son Chad (Jerri) Dennis of Zanesville; a daughter Joni Dennis of Byesville; two granddaughters, Tandra and Tori Dennis; four sisters, Bonnie Barry, Judy (Ben) Houston, Darla (J.R.) Stewart, and Christy L. Dennis; a brother Cecil E. Dennis; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister Ida Keelor.

Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 9, 2015, with Evangelist Keith Kress officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
