Former WHIZ Chief Engineer Passes Away

The WHIZ Media Group is mourning the loss of one of their own this weekend.

WHIZ has learned Former Chief Engineer Elmer Hartmeyer has passed away.

Hartmeyer was the longest working employee at the station serving over 50 years in the areas of engineering and production before retiring in October of 2006. 

Bolin Dierkes Funeral Home will be handling funeral services for Hartmeyer which have yet to be determined.
