John E. Bunting (December 19, 1925 – May 14, 2015)

John Ernest Bunting, 89, of 5715 Dresden Road, Zanesville, peacefully passed away at 12:30 A.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at his home of natural causes. He was born December 19, 1925, in Zanesville, a son of the late Orville and Addy Harris Bunting. John graduated from Jefferson High School. He was a lifelong farmer, Auctioneer, Muskingum Township Trustee, and Supervisor for ODOT. John enjoyed square dancing and was a member of Northside Nazarene Church on Francis Street in Zanesville.

Surviving are two sons, Mark A. Bunting of Zanesville, and Richard (Judy) Bunting of Columbus; five grandchildren, Carla Bunting, April Bunting Wilson, Tiffany Bunting (Bryan) Parker, Brian Bunting, and Philip Bunting; three great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Vore Bunting; and two sisters, Edna Bunting Greiner and Margaret Bunting Weiser.

Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 18, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, with Pastor Jim Miller officiating. He will be laid to rest at Granger Cemetery, Zanesville.
