Gabrielle M. “Gaby” Hinkle (November 14, 1928 – May 26, 2015)

Gabrielle M. “Gaby” Hinkle, 86 of Zanesville, died 5:30 PM, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Kindred Transitional Care in Newark following a short illness. She was born Wednesday, November 14, 1928 in Beirut, Lebanon, the daughter of Vincent & Shafeeka Milane and was a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Gaby was a great cook and feeding everyone brought her great joy. She enjoyed sewing and was a talented seamstress. Gaby was a member of the El Benette Club and a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Gaby is survived by one son: Vincent (Christine) Hinkle of Zanesville; one grandson: Mike Hinkle of Peora, Arizona; two step-grandchildren: Dwaine Burtnett of Reynoldsburg and Victor (Kristina) Burtnett of Mansfield and two step-great grandchildren

In addition to her parents, Gaby was preceded in death by her husband: Clarence Hinkle, Jr. on September 3, 1975; three sisters and six brothers.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Sunday, May 31, 2015 at The Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where a Christian Vigil will be held at 5:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Monday, June 1, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 144 North Fourth Street, Zanesville with Fr. Stephen Dominic Hayes as celebrant.
