Jeanne K. Penn (April 9, 1923 – May 30, 2015)

Jeanne K. Penn, 92, of Zanesville, died at 6:10 P.M. on Friday, May 29, 2015, at The Oaks at Northpointe. She was born April 9, 1923, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late William F. and Emma Edith Shrider Kelly. She was the Owner and Operator of Foggs Drug Store for 30 years, and was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Following retirement she went back to work for CVS. She loved to paint scenery and landscapes with acrylics.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa (Michael) Martin of Zanesville; a son, Roderick Penn of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Ian Michael Penn, Given (D.J.) Williams and Mikala Kelly Martin; four great grandchildren, Emma Kelly Williams, Anmari Madison Williams, Oliver Reid Williams, and Iris Mae Williams; a brother, Raymond Kelly of Kirkland, Washington; and a sister-in-law, Fern Kelly of Zanesville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold V. Penn, who died August 27, 1997; four sisters, Thelma Worstall, Reta Rucker, Edith Temple and Louise Ross; and two brothers, Merlin Kelly and Paul Kelly.

Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 5, 2015, with Pastor Nathan Nordine officiating. Jeanne will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Harold at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
