Phyllis Sipe Gorman (July 18, 1928 – November 3, 2015)

Phyllis Sipe Gorman, 87, of Zanesville passed away peacefully on November 3, 2015 with her family by her side. She did so with great strength, faith, and courage. Phyllis did it her way. Rest in peace.
Phyllis was born July 18, 1928 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Charles and Ferne Sipe. She graduated from The Ohio State University and worked as a Social Worker at Good Samaritan Hospital and later at Bethesda Hospital, where she finally retired from doing contingency work with her dear friend Peg Earhart at 80. She was a member of several Bridge Clubs and enjoyed bowling and golf.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Gorman and her brother Jim Sipe.
She is survived by her children; Chuck (Patti) Gorman, Tom (Patty) Gorman, Sandy Lucas, and Susan Gorman; sister Sandra Stewart; grandchildren; Joe (Sacha) Lucas, Josh (Fallon) Gorman, Brandon (Kristina) Gorman, Keri (Kolby) Kabbes and Kyra Gorman; great grandchildren Andrew, Parker, Gavin, Ella, and Jonathon. Nieces and nephews; Beth and Todd Scherer, Doug and Julie Stewart, Betsy Sipe, Debbie Sipe, and Jim Sipe; great nieces and nephews; Zack, Trevor, Nicholas, Natalie, Samuel, and Faith. Special friends; Dixie and Barb Davis and Shirlee Thompson.
Calling hours will be Saturday November 7, 2015 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 West Military Road Zanesville, Ohio 43701
Following calling hours a private family burial will take place in the Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, Ohio.
