Elinor S. Lyon (May 6, 1930 – November 7, 2015)

Elinor S. Lyon, 85, of Zanesville, OH, died on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the Cedar Hill Care Center, Zanesville, OH. She was born May 6, 1930, in Ithaca, NY, a daughter of the late Rexford and Grace Puderbaugh Smith. She was a homemaker, a longtime member of Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church, an avid bridge player playing at least twice a week, and a bowler in several leagues at Military Lanes.

Surviving are her loving husband of 67 years, William J. Lyon, whom she married September 5, 1948, of the home; a son David (Colleen) Lyon of Belchertown, MA.; a daughter Barbara (Patrick) Henry of Pelham, AL; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and special friends, Tess Caley and Debbie Callahan; and her cat Tai.

Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, OH, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 13, 2015, with Pastor Matt Blau officiating.
