Herb Farrell Jr. 73, of Zanesville, Ohio peacefully passed away with his family January 1, 2016. Herb was born in Punxsutawney, PA. January 9, 1942 and lived in Stump Creek, Pa. until graduating from Sykesville High School in 1959.
Herb moved to Zanesville, Ohio in 1971 working in the Oil & Gas industry. In 1978 he and his partner formed Derby Oil & Gas Inc., D&H Well Service and Twin Hills Supply which they operated until early 1986. Herb went onto build several other businesses, Custom Creations Inc., Southside Collision, Johns Hobby Shop and Y-City Power Wash Inc., along with his son Michael Farrell.
Herb was a very loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. Herb will be deeply missed by loved ones, family and friends.
Herb is survived by his loving wife Lucy of 45 years, son Michael (Katie) Farrell, grandson Hayden of Zanesville, Ohio, son Todd (Tricia) Farrell, grandson Josh of State College, Pa., daughter Patsy and family of Punxsutawney, Pa., and 5sisters and their families all of Pa.
In addition to his parents, Herb was proceeded in death by his loving and caring son, John Farrell and his brother.
Private family services were held and burial took place in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
