Columbus Man Sentenced In Fatal Z-ville Accident
A Columbus man is sentenced in connection with a fatal drunk driving accident. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says that 27-year-old Darnell Harris was charged with involuntary manslaughter and operating a vehicle under the influence after an accident in April on U.S. 40 in Falls Township. The Highway Patrol says Harris attempted to turn onto Interstate 70 and pulled into the path of another vehicle. Harris’ passenger, 22-year-old Koeta Pettiford of Zanesville died in the crash. Judge Mark Fleegle sentenced Harris to a mandatory 36 months in prison and a five year driver’s license suspension
