Artists to Showcase Talent at Fundraising Event

The Carnegie room of the John McIntire Library is transforming into an art gallery.

More than 100 paintings, photos and pottery items will be on display at the Coz Art Matters showcase.  Linda Regula is one of the participating artists whose work will be available to purchase.

"We hope to raise money to fund our First Friday events, and we plan to have a good time," said Regula.

Regula said an embellished art quilt by Susan Nash will be raffled off, and attendees will also enjoy food, wine and music.

"We work all year to promote First Friday," said Regula.  "We started the Y-bridge Arts Festival.  We just got the downtown declared an arts and cultural overlay, so we work really hard to put the focus on art."

The event will take place on Friday at 8 PM.  Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at the Muskingum County Welcome Center.
