What felt like a lifetime of being overweight has pushed one local woman fight for her health. After a year and a half in the gym, carefully watching what she ate, and through the support of others, she’s now seeing and feeling the results.

Angie Jones wouldn’t say how much she used to weigh but she’s lost more than 200 pounds. Struggling with weight all of her adult life, there were days Jones wouldn’t leave the house.

"You’re hopeless, helpless and you just feel like you can’t do anything," said Jones."My weight called all the shots."

The weight loss hasn’t been easy. Manager at the Field House Mindy Haven said when Jones first began working out she wouldn’t do much. It took her time to develop her strength.

"She really is an inspiration here, she has lost 200 plus pounds, I find it hard to loose 10 pounds," said Haven.

Jones was diagnosed with diabetes about 4 years ago, but because of her weight loss success she hasn’t needed her medicine in nearly 9 months.

To inspire others to do the same Jones will begin a support group at the Field House. She said they’ll share stories and help each other get healthy. Details will be on Field House web site soon, www.zanesvillefieldhouse.com.
