Grand Jury Indicts Multiple People

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office says suspects arrested during multiple drug busts this year have now been indicted by the Perry County Grand Jury.

27-year-old Charles Talbert of New Lexington is facing charges of trafficking in marijuana, illegal manufacturing of drugs and illegal possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs. Talbert’s charges stem from two separate drug busts at his Porcelain Street apartment. In a March bust authorities say they seized marijuana, and in May say they discovered a meth lab. Talbert could receive a 16 year prison sentence if convicted.

Also indicted, a Thornville man who the Sheriff’s Office says was growing more than $500,000 in pot in his home. 60-year-old Steven Kirch’s State Route 188 home was raided in August. He’s charged with illegal cultivation of marijuana and other related charges that could leave him with an 11 year prison sentence.

63-year-old Allen Gillogly was indicted on cultivation of marijuana and unlawful possession of a dangerous ordinance. Authorities say they found eight pounds of marijuana and illegal firearms at his Jackson Township property. He faces six years in prison.
