Margaret R. Morrison (July 27, 1934 – February 10, 2014)
Margaret Rose Morrison, 79, passed away Feb 10, 2014 due to a sudden illness, at the home of her daughter Carol Wilhelm.
Margie was born July 27, 1934 in Zanesville. She was the daughter of the late William and Agnes (McVicker) Shepler.
Margie graduated from Lash High School in 1952, and retired from Owens Illinois. Margie attended First United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed volunteering at the Lifewell Free Store.
Margie enjoyed the company of countless friends and family members, and was often among the last to leave at social gatherings. Those who knew Margie remember her warm hugs, no-bake cookies, and homemade fudge. She was often seen working in her yard among her flower gardens.
Margie is survived by her husband, Clarence “Jake” Morrison, whom she married on April 18, 1981. Her children Carol (Nick) Wilhelm, Donald (Janie Pride) Parsons, David (Remy) Parsons; stepdaughters, Karen (Andy) Jackson of Plain Dealing LA, Karol (Gary) Sidwell of Willard OH, Kathi Conrad of Cambridge OH; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren; brother Norman (Amy) Shepler of Frazeysburg OH; brother-in-law Harvey Wise of Mount Vernon, OH; and sister-in-law Martha Shepler of Zanesville.
Proceeding her in death were her brothers, Henry “Glen” Shepler, and Morris “Pete” Shepler; sisters, Juanita McKee, Dorothea Miles, and Sandra Wise; and a step-grandson Shane Paul.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 on Thursday February 13, 2014 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday February 14, 2014 in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Joy French officiating. Entombment will take place in Zanesville Memorial Park Mausoleum.
