Two Young Children, Adults Hospitalized After I-70 Crash

Four people Including two young children were taken to the hospital Wednesday evening following an accident in Zanesville.

It happened shortly before 5:00 p.m. at the on-ramp to Interstate 70 westbound at State Street.

Lieutenant Tony Coury with the Zanesville Police Department says 24-year-old Nichole Ayers of Dresden slowed down to merge onto 70 westbound when 22-year-old Jack Webb of Zanesville rear ended her causing extensive damage.

Webb and Ayers, a two-year-old, and a 3-month old in her vehicle were taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, all with non life-threatening injuries.

Webb was ticketed for failure to maintain a clear distance.
