Jean E. Smith (February 28, 1925 – January 12, 2015)

Jean E. Smith, 89, passed away on January 12, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas.

Jean was born in Adamsville, Ohio, to Paul and Olive Slater on February 28, 1925. She worked for Bank of America in California for nearly 25 years, and afterwards lived in Zanesville and Las Vegas, Nevada, before moving to Texas. Jean was a warm-hearted, caring woman who lived life to the fullest. She was an avid Bingo player. In Las Vegas, she would play as many as 144 Bingo cards at a time with cards in front of her and others on a computer.

Jean is survived by several close friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Smith, who passed away in 1993. She is survived by several close friends, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Zanesville with Fr. Peter Fegan O.P. as celebrant. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
