Janet R. Finley (April 4, 1926 – January 30, 2016)

Janet R. Finley, 89, of Zanesville, went to be with her Lord following a short illness , surrounded by her loving family at 3:10 P.M. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Clay Gardens Place, Zanesville. She was born April 4, 1926 in York, PA. a daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Bollinger Stough. She was married to Rev. Carl Finley on September 8, 1951 in York, PA. Janet was a long time member of Fair Oaks Baptist Church, enjoyed baking, sewing and making delicious Sunday dinners.

Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Rev. Carl Finley, of the home, a daughter, Janelle (Eugene) Taylor; grandchildren, Trista (Greg) Berkte, Nicole (Mark) Lane and James (Katelyn) Taylor; five great grandchildren; a brother, John Stough, a sister, Arlene Thomas and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews, along with a host of special friends
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Eldon Finley; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Josie and James Finley; two sisters, Anna Mae Shewell and Ellen Trimmer; a brother, Russell Stough

Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUENRAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE and also one hour prior at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Fair Oaks Baptist Church, 1025 Woodlawn Avenue, Zanesville with Pastor Mark Shoemaker officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park, Zanesville.
