Noble Sheriff Investigates Craigs List Case
The Noble County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent murder and attempted murder that may be connected to an ad on craigslist for a job on a cattle farm. Sheriff Stephen Hannum says on Tuesday deputies found the body of an unidentified man buried in a remote location near Don Warner Road. Sheriff Hannum says the search came after the second man from South Carolina escaped from the same area after being shot on November 6th and deputies found a grave they believe had been dug for him.The Sheriff says the victims had responded to a bogus listing for a job as a caretaker over cattle on a 688 acre farm. The Sheriff suspects robbery was the motive. The Sheriff says two men are in custody. Their names have not been released. An autopsy has been ordered on the body.
