Zanesville Man Plead Not Guilty In Murder

A Zanesville man appeared in Muskingum County Common Please Court Wednesday to answer to murder charges. 21-year-old Joey Hampton is charged in the death of 21-year-old Dante Wolford earlier this year.  Hampton plead not guilty to charges of aggravated murder with firearm specifications, having a weapon while under disability and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. Zanesville Police say the shooting happened at the Dairy Mart on Pine Street in September. Judge Mark Fleegle continued Hampton’s bond at $2,000,000.  He is being held in the Muskingum County Jail.
